The raison d'être for this piece is maximal whimsey and folly. As outdated the pomander and incense censer are, I felt it would be fun to reprise these antiquated systems in the 21st century. As a designer, I have a lot of unused wax design and prototypes that I've had for the last decade. I decided to make an amalgam piece using these disparate pieces to make a whole; therein, lies the MaxHotRod name.
